MiniMax H3 Fast
Fast, low-cost MiniMax H3 tier: 480p clips of 4-15s with sound from text, first/last frames, up to 9 reference images or 3 reference videos
What it's the best tool for
- Quick, low-cost tier of the H3 family: handy for sweeping ideas and running drafts
- Video comes with a sound track, no separate voice-over or audio pass needed
- Clips from 4 to 15 seconds in six aspect ratios, including 9:16 vertical and 21:9 wide
- Three input modes: text only, first frame, or first plus last frame
- Up to 9 reference images and up to 3 reference videos for character, style and motion
When to reach for something else
- 480p only: higher resolutions require other models of the line
- Frames and references cannot be combined in one request, you pick one or the other
- Clip length ranges from 4 to 15 seconds, with no extend mode
- This is the lightweight tier: for the final take, compare the result with other models of the H3 line

More about MiniMax H3 Fast
MiniMax H3 Fast: Fast AI Video Generation with Audio
MiniMax H3 Fast is the quick, low-cost tier of the MiniMax H3 video family. It renders 480p clips with a sound track, which makes it a good fit for volume work: sweeping through a dozen ideas, assembling a rough cut, or checking how a scene looks in motion. Run it in your browser on NetRoom.
What MiniMax H3 Fast can do
Text to video. Describe a scene and get a clip between 4 and 15 seconds long. Aspect ratios include 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16 and 21:9, so the same idea can be rendered for YouTube and for vertical feeds alike.
First and last frame. Supply one image and it becomes the first frame of the clip. Supply two and you get a transition from the first frame to the last. Useful when the opening and closing compositions already exist.
References. The model accepts up to 9 reference images and up to 3 reference videos, so a character, an object, a style or a camera move can be shown by example instead of described in words. One detail to remember: frames and references are not combined in a single request. You choose either frame control or references.
Sound. Video is generated together with a sound track, so you do not need a separate audio pass.
Where it sits in the H3 line
H3 Fast is the lightest member of the family and renders at 480p only. If you need a different quality level, the sibling models are also available on NetRoom: MiniMax H3 Max, MiniMax H3 and MiniMax H3 Max Turbo. A practical workflow is to draft on Fast and, if needed, make the final take on another model of the line.
How to write the prompt
Name the subject and the action, then add the setting, the light and the camera move: "the camera tracks alongside", "slow push-in", "locked-off shot". Because sound is generated together with the video, you can describe the sounds you want directly: wind, footsteps, rain. Start trials with short durations, and once the scene works, extend the clip to the length you need.
