More about Krea 2 Medium
Krea 2 Medium: an AI model for illustration and design
Krea 2 Medium is the smaller, faster, more affordable member of the Krea 2 image family, built for speed and cost-efficiency without giving up control over the look of the output. It carries heavier post-training than its sibling Krea 2 Large, which makes results more stable and consistent — less raw photorealism, more polished, art-directable imagery. That trade-off is exactly what illustration, anime, painterly styles, and graphic design work tend to need, where a consistent look matters more than photographic realism. The model launched on May 27, 2026 and is already available for generations online.
Core capabilities
Krea 2 Medium supports both text-to-image and image-to-image generation at 1K resolution across eight aspect ratios, from square 1:1 and portrait 4:5 to cinematic 2.35:1 and vertical 9:16. Up to ten reference images can be combined in a single generation, each with its own weight from 0 to 1, making it easy to lock in a character, palette, or composition without heavy manual touch-up afterward. A creativity control (raw, low, medium, high) and curated moodboards give further control over style and let you land on the right aesthetic faster, without a negative prompt parameter.
Where it fits in the Krea 2 lineup
Krea 2 Medium sits between Krea 2 Turbo, the cheapest and fastest option with the least polish, and Krea 2 Large, the priciest and most photoreal model in the family. Large is the pick for raw photorealism and maximum detail, Turbo is the pick for the cheapest, fastest drafts, and Medium is the practical middle ground for anyone who wants dependable, on-style illustration and anime output without paying Large's premium for photorealism these genres rarely need.
